Top Six Waterfalls in the World

. Niagara falls
Situated in the middle part of Niagara river--the juncture of Canada and America, Niagara falls is regarded as one of the world seven wonders. Together with Iguazu falls in south America and Victoria falls in Africa, they are the top three waterfalls in the world. The water of Niagara river that comes from Lake Erie flows across this place and suddenly falls down about 50 meters, washing down the cliff with a noise heard several miles away. The scene is really amazing. Then comes the magnificent Niagara falls.
2. Victoria falls
Located in the juncture of Zambia and Zimbabwe of southern Africa, Victoria falls is the biggest waterfall in Africa. It is more than 2 miles in width and runs into a strait. The rainbow which results from water spray can be seen 20 kilometers away from here.
3. Iguazu falls
Iguazu falls is owned both by Brazil and Argentina. It is about 2700 meters long, with many kinds of endangered plants and animals live nearby. It consists of over 270 rapids and falls. The averaged height is about 72 meters. It is 2700 meters wide. The flow volume is about 1700 square meters per second. The falls are divides into many streams and rapids and produces huge steam cloud. In the rain season, many falls joint together with splendid water flow and thunderous noise.
